Campuses

philosophy and opportunity in our campuses

The Vineyard Church is a multiple campus church; we say "we are one church in many locations."  The Vineyard Church Urbana started in 1978 and we opened our second campus in Sullivan, IL in March of 2009.  As of 2011, we have 5 total campuses.  Along with Urbana and Sullivan, we have added Danville, Paxton and Bloomington.  We believe we have a reproducible model for outlying areas that allow us to share resources and impact Central Illinois in an effective and efficient way.

Being a multi-campus church opens the door additional leadership opportunities.  Every campus has a campus pastor, worship leader, children and youth leaders, small group leaders and outreach leaders.  As the campuses grow the leadership opportunities will increase as well. Your local campus could be needing the gifting that God has created in you.

Why Multi-Campus Church?

Advantages:

Multi-Campus Churches combine the advantages of large and small churches:

  • The strong leadership, quality training and superb programming of large churches.
  • The personal connection and excellent pastoral care of small churches.

Results

  • More people coming to Christ.
  • More personal involvement in service and small groups.
  • Greater satisfaction with church life and ministry.

A Move of God

The Multi-Campus strategy is being used greatly by God in the 21st century.

  • Ten years ago there was only a handful of multi-campus churches.
  • Several years ago there were several hundred.
  • Today there are thousands and thousands.
    • There are now more multi-campus churches than mega-churches.
    • Multi-campus churches are found in many different settings and denominations across the country.
